New Look
I’m trying out a new look, still a work in progress (when is it not!) I wanted to aim for a clean look but I’m really struggling with fonts, always have, I look at my fave sites and see what they use but whenever I try them out it never looks the same 
Whats the secret ?
I’m also not overally sure on my header pic/logo combo as it looks very naff. But then I never was very artistic.
Throw some comments my way if anyone has any suggestions or improvements I could make.

Hi Gary,
It looks pretty good, but I have a few suggestions for you:
1. Make fonts larger, and the differences between headings and body text larger. I also think your heading text could use a touch more contrast.
2. I’d lose the blue glow round the top image (currently a cat). I’d also be tempted to use some method of grouping the two top images into one unit, while softening the boundary with the main content below. You should keep the logo though (I like it), and I think the cat image is fine too.
3. I like the light blue nav bar, but I do think there’s a bit too much blue in the page. Maybe change the left and right margin columns to white, or a very subtle off white. That would turn down the blue a bit, without taking the focus away from the main content.
