Snap search
Snap, another contender for the search crown?
I’m not really sure tbh. This site is wrapped up in lots of ajax goodness (always interesting) but for that do you really get a quick search experience? I say not really.
The search feels quite clunky to me, I like the screen shots and the general prompting for search keywords but I really like the cleanliness of Google. For me, search, should just give me a list as quick as possible and let me do the rest.

I agree with you Gary.
It’s like the recent Microsoft Live services - slick, but too slow for everyday use.

Ajax is great for prediction text boxes and for use on forms to alleviate full page refreshes but other than that it just confuses the hell out of the average joe.
Lets face it, since web v0.0001 we were all told that stuff gets submitted and you wait for the page to be refreshed, it’s a concept that is firmly ingrained.
