		<description>In my experience TPS cuts out most of the calls but not the international ones - they aren't covered by the law of course.

When I do get the odd one from a UK company, I always tell them I'm registered for TPS and they shouldn't be calling.  That usually ends the call quickly.  Callcentres are supposed to update their systems regularly with new lists of TPS registrants but they are allowed a 90-day grace period in which to do this, and anyway mistakes can happen.  The moral being, TPS isn't perfect but it's still worth it. and you should always remind people who call you that they aren't allowed to.</description>
