Well people, it’s actually open to the public now. 4000ft above the canyon floor… scary!

Lots of news flying around about the PS3 release today. I certainly didn’t camp out for two days to get the first one, in fact it’s highly unlikely I’ll get one at all. It sounds pretty cool and it’s not that i’m not intrigued, it’s just gaming ain’t my thing. My ps2 is at this moment sitting covered in dust beneath my computer desk. I only ever played PES4 !
Anyone else out there stood in a long queue for one?

I’m sure i’m not the only person to fall victim to unfair bank charges on overdrafts and bounced cheques.
I had cause to get annoyed this morning. A letter hit the doormat from my “customer friendly” bank informing me that I was being fined £30 for a cheque that had pushed us over our limit by about £10, on the day that our wages went into the account. So essentially the bank was out of pocket for about an hour. How they can justify a £30 charge for administration fees I have no idea, looking at the letter it is plainly obvious that the only human hand that touched it was the postman, a rule was triggered, the letter was printed, folded, put in an envelople and dropped into an outgoing mail bag.
So to business, straight over to the Money Programme website and into their article on Are penalty charges bank robbery? (well frankly, yes they are). They provide a handy pre-written letter which has all the juicy law bits in it that you can print, add your details and shove in your bank manager’s face.
This I did, first thing this morning. Charge cancelled ![]()
