Amazon Ajax Book Reader

Thursday, May 25th, 2006

Take a peek at the new ajaxified Amazon Book Reader, it’s a mightly beautifully looking bit of code. I really wish I could something like this up and running for the backoffice of our site at work, it would surely make some tasks a hell of a lot easier.

Tag Cloud

Friday, May 19th, 2006

I’ve thrown up a tag cloud over on the right hand side of the site.

Since I stopped using categories to organise my posts there hasn’t been a way to find posts by a particular topic. Using the kinda provides the same feature but also allows me to pop up on too.

And also I couldn’t be bothered to manage the categories :)

The tag cloud is an interesting concept in how it shows your more popular topics in a ease to grasp manner. The brain just seems to accept graphical stuff so much easier.

Firt

I’m not a designer in any sense of the word but know matter how much I stare at the recent Fiat logo I just can’t make it read Fiat.

With the angle on the right hand corner of the A it just looks like an R.

Surely it should be the other way round ?

Covered up

Thursday, April 6th, 2006

Well CSS Naked Day is over, so i’ve put my coat back on… covering my shame :)

I was actually surprised at how well my butchered markup rendered. This could almost be a cue towards a better method of writing markup, maybe I should write it without first to make sure it is structurally sound, or at least glance at it without the .

Roll on next year !!

Great idea Justin, It seems to be a big hit with a lot of people. (So much so i’ve stuck naked day in my , I bet a lot of other people have too :) )
