Microsoft Live Labs: Photosynth
Thursday, November 2nd, 2006I hardly ever get excited about a Microsoft product but i’ve startled myself by how interested I am in Microsoft Live Labs: Photosynth.
The software cleverly connects photos by image content and displays them in a 3D environment allowing you to navigate around the set. The video demo looks quite exciting and could possibly be a Google Earth/Picasa killer. I have a definite worry about the spec of machine required to run the thing, I’ve also a suspicion that its likely to be a Vista based app. I’ve already read somewhere online that 2Gb of memory is the recommended minimum for Vista!
