Wednesday, June 7th, 2006BBC is reporting that UK music fans can copy own tracks.
Peter Jamieson, chairman of the British Phonographic Industry, said consumers would only be penalised if they made duplicates of songs for other people.
Which is only fair I think, I’ve paid the cash for the CD, the artists has their royalties, so what difference should it make as to how and where I listen to the music?
It’s nice to see a fairer approach then those unlucky listeners stateside.

Thursday, June 1st, 2006The latest Live album Songs From Black Mountain has just hit my doormat.

This album is one of their best to date, from my point of view and as a very long time fan (hell, I even have the Four Songs EP and Death of a Dictionary). It’s almost on a par with Throwing Copper, but they’ll always struggle to top ‘Lightning Crashes’.
Highly recommended, A*

Monday, May 22nd, 2006Check out the latest Pearl Jam track Life Wasted over at Google Video.
Pretty cool, this new approach to release songs and videos.
The new self-titled album Pearl Jam is well worth the purchase too. Gets 5 stars from me.

Wednesday, May 10th, 2006I’ve just lost the plot with following my favourite band. Once upon a time I followed Live with a passion. I collected bootlegs, memorabilia, went to concerts, all of that stuff but recently I’ve just not had the time to keep track. Today I just found out that they’re on tour, a quick check on Ticketmaster and damn it, the local gig in Manchester is sold out
How gutted am I ! Their last tour coincided exactly with the birth of my son (it would have been even more perfect if I could have been at the gig too
)

And there is a new album in a few weeks !!! Songs from Black Mountain.
More dedication required I think…
