Inspired

I’ve come to the conclusion (after many long years listening) that Eddie Vedder is an amazingly inspirational and thought provoking lyricist. Some of the stuff is obvious but some are just open to many interpretations. I’ve listed some of my favourites. Don’t get me wrong that there are a million and one other talented artistes out there but Eddie just clicks with my brain.

I know someday you’ll have a beautiful life, I know you’ll be a sun in somebody else’s sky, but why, Why, why can’t it be, why can’t it be mine - Black
no matter how cold the winter, there’s a springtime ahead - Thumbing my way
all the rusted signs we ignore throughout our lives, choosing the shiny ones instead - Thumbing my way
Everything has chains… absolutely nothing’s changed - Corduroy

JCB song

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

I know it’s been out in the charts for quite some time, but I was late picking up on it (and foO just reminded me) but I really like the JCBSONG. It’s got some good nostalgic references in there.

JCB Song

It’s got Optimus Prime in the video, so that makes it cool in my opinion !

A Pandora’s box of tunes

Monday, January 23rd, 2006

neal was kind enough to drop a pointer in my Random Song meme to a fab little project called funnily enough Pandora. The Genome Project has created a little app that given a starting song/artist will create a station of lots of tunes your hopefully gonna lap up.

Pandora

And so far i’m pretty pleased !

I urge you lot to check it out. Kinda feeds in nicely to my plan to listen to some new stuff…
