I’ve come to the conclusion (after many long years listening) that Eddie Vedder is an amazingly inspirational and thought provoking lyricist. Some of the stuff is obvious but some lyrics are just open to many interpretations. I’ve listed some of my favourites. Don’t get me wrong that there are a million and one other talented artistes out there but Eddie just clicks with my brain.

Been listening to it again and again over the last day or so, I just forgot how much it rocked…

I know it’s been out in the charts for quite some time, but I was late picking up on it (and foO just reminded me) but I really like the JCBSONG. It’s got some good nostalgic references in there.

It’s got Optimus Prime in the video, so that makes it cool in my opinion !

Still on the hunt for some classic tunes to prop up my collection…

Essential Rock Albums of the 1990s, is helping me to stir up memories of albums and tracks i’d long since misplaced or forgotten.

neal was kind enough to drop a pointer in my Random Song meme to a fab little project called funnily enough Pandora. The Music Genome Project has created a little app that given a starting song/artist will create a station of lots of tunes your hopefully gonna lap up.

And so far i’m pretty pleased !

I urge you lot to check it out. Kinda feeds in nicely to my plan to listen to some new stuff…
