Always on my daily reads is Xaprb, the fella is a genius with mysql. There is always something highly informative to read and always useful. Today’s offering is the MySQL Query Profiler, a perl program to help analyse and improve your queries.

I’ll be giving it a whirl shortly, i’m always on the lookout for ways to improve query time.

You should all read the site everyday anyway if you use mysql on a regular basis. I can’t recommend a better source apart from mysql.com (obviously)

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… well no actually, but a few years ago I was a Perl hacker, I used perl 24/7 and the one place to go was PerlMonks. It’s been yonks since I was last there, and it’s not changed a tad ! Still great, thriving community, tons of useful info.

It’s a shame really, since I’ve been doing more web/php stuff I’ve never been able to locate a community that was anything like what I found at Perlmonks for the php community. If anyone knows of anywhere do shout out.
